Wasn't there a story, quite early on in the war, where an RAF helicopter pilot was being fired on by ground-based US troops, so the RAF geezer landed the chopper and laid into the US guy, saying, "Who the f*** are you firing at? Do I look like the enemy? What do these markings mean?"

Etc...

Or is it just a made-up story?

Glad I do not have to make the decision to shoot or wait .... Must be a nightmare when everything is exploding and / or ricochetting around, especially if one has witnessed comrades going down .. Lots of people lots of weapons .... Mistakes must be wholesale .. I am amazed there are so few reports !!
