I'm trying to see both sides. How many of Notch's championed unemployed, fettered by not being able to afford child care, are genuine cases? By genuine, I mean decent and respectable, clean living and honest, don't-want-to-be-unemployed-for-long and are ashamed-to-claim-public-money types of people? I don't doubt that these exist - but I've never met one!
In my experience (which, I know, counts for nothing on here but is the only evidence I accept) a lot of people have children whilst claiming benefits, sometimes whilst unemployed and some even have children for the welfare payments that having a child brings. There is an even worse sub set of all the above, and that is those who make out that their children are disabled in some way, so as to claim the extra payments due for the child's disability. None of those should recieve public money. If they want money, they should work for it, and if necessary, travel for that work.
Not to mention a group of people that I'm not allowed to mention, a group of people who are mega-benefit claimants and make all other benefit claimants look like amateurs.

There's another good thing happening at the moment amongst the young - whilst they are not in school they are not being taught to hate Britain and its history!
