FruitWood Table

First time post for me...
I am re-finishing a FruitWood Table in a dark red stain.

Is this the correct way to do it?
Sand Table with progressively with different grit sand papers till smooth
Apply Lemon Oil wait 24hours to absorb fully
Apply Wood Conditioner Wait 10Mins before staining
Apply Wood Stain with Brush, wipe after 10-15seconds once dry, repeat if necessary after I completely stained the full table.
Wait 24 hours and apply a Water Based? Clear Coat

Cross fingers and hope I did it correctly

I cant seem to find what i need there.... if somebody can verify i treat fruitwood like my method above would be great
