Hi all,

I have recently had some issues with water ingress coming from my outside wall, creating patches of damp coming through onto my inside wall. We have now had the outside all completely fixed (re-rendering, repointing, ...), however, the damp patches do not seem to be going down after a few weeks now and keeping it aired and using a dehumidifier. They don't seem to be getting worse (which they often did before after days of rain), so I do believe the underlying issue has been fixed.

I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions of what I could do to finally get rid of the water patches? For clarify, what I have tried is:

1. Opening windows every morning for about an hour (keeping them open if it's a hot day that could help dry out)
2. Using a dehumidifier constantly on for the last week

Anything else that people would suggest? Any suggestions of what type of worker I could get in to have a look at it?

Any advice would be much appreciated,

Benji

Summer fan with dehumidifier. Get the air moving about and a bit more time. Wall could take months to fully dry out

OP,
Do you have solid or cavity walls?
Have you had CWI blown in?
Are the pics of a FF bedroom?
Can you post a pic of the outside of the wall from roof to ground?

Cavity walls.

No insulation.

FF, I'm guessing is front facing? It's at the back of my flat, and mainly south facing, so it doesn't get direct sunlight into the room (only a little in the morning.

Don't have a picture of the outside wall after the work has been done, but can add tomorrow when it's light again.
