I have just fitted a FCU to the wall next to the electric cooker, but the red indicator light stays on whether the switch is in the on or off position. What have I done wrong - all the connections seem to be right and the cooker is working. Thanks!

Just a wild guess, but I'd say that you've connected the supply to the load terminals and the load to the supply terminals. The switch will still work, i.e. it will make and break a connection between supply and load, but the light will stay on all the time as it is connected to the load terminals. Let's hope you haven't also got Live and Neutral on the wrong sides..

BTW - what circuit is the FCU connected to, and what is it supplying via what size fuse through what size cable?

Thanks - I will look at the connection again and will answer the second half of your response---later!
