Gainsborough 1200 Power Shower

We've had the the above shower for the past 5 years, fed via hot water from the boiler (gravity fed hot water system) & cold water from a header tank in the loft. We've just had a combi boiler installed - hence the header tank has been removed. My question is can I feed this model shower with mains cold water ? Will it be OK with the pressure ? The hot water is fine as it's still being fed from the existing circuit and I've removed the power feed to the shower as the pressure from the combi boiler is sufficient hence the water doesnt need pumping (but is mighty hot!).
