Gainsborough 8.5 SCL PRD/outlet pipe busted

Hi

I have a Gainsborough shower and at present water is flowing from underneath the shower. I have removed the cover and its not from the water pipe its coming from the outlet pipe or PRD.

I have rang Gainsborough and they said you cannot use a hose or shower head from any other company other than Gainsborough as something to do woth water pressure etc. Load of rubbish to me but its very cheeky. Anyway I have ordered another PRD (£9.79). Someone said to me I could just pop the ball back in so now water comes out ???

Can someone shed some light on this ? I dont want this happening again.
I have cheaged back to the Gainsborough nasty shower head so hopefully it wont.

did you find the little ball that popped out of the prd when it blew ?

I havent seen it.
I rang Gainsborough and ordered a new PRD but I have to wait til that turns up. Can I pop the ball back in then ? It may well be down the plug hole now or could it still be in there just loose ?

its probably gone down the plug hole.
wait till you get the new one.

sometimes changing the shower heads will cause this if they are restricted etc.
