hi have you any idea why my gainsborough RE600 electric shower as suddenly started to pump out not very warm water. normally i would have on between 6&7 setting but now when i put it on number 9 it is only very cool. strange!!!. will it be worth repairin it or to get a new shower. your advice will be apreciated.

it sounds to me is if the element inside is on its way out

I wonder if one of the 2 elements has gone, not "going"?
daveram - if you set it to the cooler heat setting is it any different?
I assume you've looked inside for any dodgy switches or wiring?
Do you have a multimeter?
Find out prices of a new heater can, e.g.

probably one of the elements is faulty.
check the elements for resistance with a multi meter.
should be between 10-18 ohms each pair.
