I have the above, powered by a replacement battery that is rubbish (runs down without use in about 6 hours after charging.)
I like the machine and wondered if I could maybe use it for pix etc.
Is there any reasonable way I could link another power source to run this for things other than calls!

You can use the USB lead either plugged into a charger or use an external USB battery to power it.
Many different ones are available, with 20 amp hour ratings and more.

Simply use velcro to attach it to the back i you want to move it around.

Go to Amazon and search for "usb power bank".
Other suppliers are available.

Alternatively get the battery replaced with a decent one instead of the rubbish you have inside it.

Not entirely sure what you are asking here but the above is relevant. You ask about using for pix, well yes you can although the camera is a bit poor compared to modern phones. There is a memory expansion slot which will take a micro sd card although it doesn't say what the maximum size would be. I would think 32 Gb and that would store a fair few pictures as would the internal memory.

I'm also using it along with a drone.
I find it very useful for this.
Have just bought a new battery, charged it to 100%, took it out, read voltage again after 8 hrs, read 86% in the phone window ??
It is still a good buy, for the use I'm putting it to !
ps: the battery was only about £5

The battery seems OK.
As I will use this alongside the drone I was wondering how to manage the
battery power. I thought I might charge the battery (100% ?) and take it out of the Galaxy until I need it to fly,
The only software I need is for the Dji controlling.
Is it feasible to get rid of any other attachments etc. that could need some power each time I insert the battery prior to flying.
