Gangs and ways

Hi all. My first post...

We're having the house rewired. The sparky has quoted for white MK everywhere - de rigeur.
But we're going to have a few stainless steel sockets and switches in prominent positions such as the living room and kitchen. The sparky has been around and written up everything we need and now I'm deciphering prior to ordering.
Normally I would of course just talk to the guy but I'm at work and he's impossible to get a hold of on the phone....

Most of it makes sense but there seems to be an absence of 1W switches (any gang) here :

So the question is can I use a 2W switch for a 1W application?
For example what if I want a 4G/1W switch?

Also...
I want a 1G/1W switch for a simple on-off light. Which of the switches do I need from that page link above? :
-Rocker PTM 1g 10AX Retractive,
-Rocker 1 Gang Intermediate 10AX, or
-Rocker 1 Gang 2 Way 10AX
