Hi,
I'm remodelling a bathroom that has a single window and just taken a look behind the existing reveal that is made up from foil backed plasterboard.
The house is a modern timber frame with a moisture barrier, cavity and brick outer.
Removing part of the plasterboard shows that the window is attached to the brickwork and I can see the cut outer board with the attached moisture barrier and then the cavity.
Can't be right can it? I'd have thought there would be some kind of structure around the window, not just rely on foil backed plasterboard.
Any ideas?
