Hi I have finally got round to fixing the new toilet in and there is a gap at the bottom of the cistern of about 6-10mm to the wall but it fits flush at the top. I'm pretty sure this is because of the soil pan connector being a tad long, will this cause a problem? Should I fix washers inbetween the cistern and wall so the gap is the same all the way around.

Thanks

The wall and floor may be out of square, if you're happy with the gap and it doesn't leak then leave it, although it is good practise to have a couple of tap washers between the cistern and the wall anyway..............
