Gap between paving slabs and front door.

Any advice would be very welcome. Renovating a small maisonette for me to live in. There's a gap (showing bricks) between where the paving slabs end and the front door? When it rains the dirt from inside the bricks sprays up at the door. Next doors slabs go right up to the front door, but mine don't. Can I fill the bricks in with concrete or what else can I do.
