Hi!

We have recently had bifold doors installed along with a new wooden step, however this has led to a gap between the floor and the step which is filled with expanding foam (the previous owners didn’t do a great job installing the flooring).

What would be the best way to fill this? I was going to get a strip of wood from B&Q, the gap is pretty uneven but I could (painstakingly) sand the strip until it fits snug and try and use No More Nails to attach it and fill the gap but anyone got any other suggestions?

I’ve attached a photo!

Quadrant trim glued or pinned to the step
The flooring needs to be able to expand under the trim.
