Gap In frame Under Door

Hello, just wanted to ask a question to people that might know the answer.

I have recently noticed a gap on the frame on the inside of my front door it's upvc. Is this normal or is it missing some of the frame?

Yes it does look like its missing something, a picture of the door from further back might help.
