I need to seal around these pipes. 2 of them are hot water pipes, one is water and one is gas mains. Have some mice in the loft; going through the eviction process, and for some reason they haven't been using these gaps to get in my spare room; never the less, I want to seal them just in case.
Don't want to make a mistake and corrode the pipes. Expanding foam, builders sealent? Any help would be very appreciated.

Thanks for any help.

Hi,

You could stuff the gaps with copper wool - the mice don't like chewing on it, and there won't be any galvanic corrosion, as there would be with steel wool.
And then filler over the top or a foam to fix it in place.
I hope that helps :)

Make the holes bigger and put traps on your side.

No more mice :)

Sounds likes a plan, thank you.

This goes through to where my bed sheets are, not sure I want them in there
But I might stick a trap on to of them, just in case

Mice are lovely when not in your house. Rats, not so much.

They love chocolate and bacon if you are trapping them.

Which i prefer to poison for many reasons.
