Hi, first time here and hoping for some feedback. My partners house has some damp patches below the windows, one east facing and one west facing. Above the windows and most of the walls are completely dry but there is definitely water ingress below the windows.

I checked the external seals on the double glazed units and one window has approx 40 mm gap either end of the seal and the other approx 40 mm gap at one end. I assume this isn’t correct and seals should extend the full length?

Any advice welcomed - thanks in advance

Rubber has shrunk.
When you cut internal rubber add 30mm ish to length and squash in as it shrinks over time.

Yours is outside and I think rubber is stuck to plastic trim so not sure it can be replaced?
There has been posts here regarding replacement outside trim. You may need to seek out uPVC repair company.
Maybe research if that rubber can be replaced.
eBay sell rubber
