I've tried a search and can't find ananswer to my particular query so here goes...

I need to lay a garage base of approx 5M by 5M for a prefab double garage. Ideally I would use a readmix company however access for that sort of vehicle is not possible to the site.

It would seem I have two options -

A barrowing service provided by a readymix company.

Mix it myself!!

How long to barrow this quantity of concrete (Approx 3 cubic metres) given that the site is 100yds from nearest access.

If I mix it myself is it feasible to mix this quantity in one go!!

Or is there any other option????

why dont you hire a concrete pump? it costs about £200.00 per load

You can get a concrete mix pumping company, they have a truck with a long elephants trunk that they crane from the road to your site.

The readimix lorry delivers into a hopper at the back of the pumping truck.

Bah, not as quick as Mr All.
