Garage build

Hi,

intend to have a garage build, but I'm in a bit of a chicken and egg scenario.

As I don't have a clue regarding costs, I don't want to have plans draw up and find that it's way too expensive. Is there any software available (free of charge hopefully), to draw up at least a rough plan, in order to get a quote from some builders ?

for a standard, easily accessible, flat roof with canopy door and single brick with pillars at 2500mm x 5000mm, expect to pay upwards of £7000.00

You could always buy a timber garage from somebody that makes them for a living and has optional erection available.

Then you will only need a builder to quote for a concrete base, as these pre-fabs can be put up without too much specialist knowledge, you will need a mate to help out though.

We have one similar to their apex design, it's been there since we moved in over 20 years ago, I'm converting it into a music studio
