Hi, I have a double garage (full of rubbish!) with a leaky corregated asbestos roof, regular brick walls and a concrete base. I'm having a new roof put on soon (roof is a simple system with roof sheets resting on wooden joists).
When the new roof is on I'd like to make more use of the garage and am thinking of convering it for use as a gym.
My concerns are the extremes of temperature - gets v hot in the summer and of course freezing in the winter! For insulation should I just get some regular roofing insulation and put some plasterboard under this - is there a better way? I accept that I'll need a heater on in the winter to take the chill off and in the summer a big fan will be good!
For the walls I wasthinking of just coating in watered down PVA to stop some of the dust.
For the floor - more PVA with some heavy duty rubber mats.
Anyone done anything similar with any advice?
Thanks
Adam
