Hi I am converting my garage that is underneath the house in to living accommodation there are no windows the only light is from where the garage doors were I am not worried about the light but i am worried about condensation from the bathroom and kitchen My idea was to run a 4" plastic
pipe above the ceiling from the kitchen over the bathroom and pick up the
4" pipe from the bathroom on a Tee fitting with two vent back draught shutters then on to a in-line expel-er fan shutters then on to a in-line expel-er fan
and then out through the outside wall I would have the a standard expel-er fans in the kitchen and the bathroom would this work ?

Thanks

heeelllooo and welcome ballcock :D
are you saying they vent into the garage??
are you planning living and sleeping accommodation

It does if you read his intentions, converting the garage into living accommodation, this I presume will include a bathroom and kitchen, I think he would need to ventilate both of these areas.

Hi thank for replying the problem is can I run one pipe for both the kitchen and the bathroom or two separate pipes one for each room

Thanks

If your shutters prevent odours etc from crossing from one room to the other I don't see why not. I guess it would also depend on the duct sizes/fan sizes configuration. I'd be looking to talk to the manufacturer of your fan.
