Hi, I'm in the early stages of a garage conversion and was looking for a little help regarding insulation.
The architect has specified 52.5mm Kingspan Kooltherm K17 insulated dry lining board to be placed on top of the existing dry lined wall to ensure that achive the appropriate u values. Kingspan ain't cheep and I was wondering if anyone knows of an alternative that is out there that would act as an eqivalent. I have spoken to the architect and he says as long as it meets the u values then he will be happy to amend the specs. I have been informed that Echo is an option, the only difference is the fire rating.
Any help would be appriciated
Cheers
Michael
