We have a garage door which came with the house and which has been wearing its hinges thin over time. One problem is that the hinges have moved in the timber holes and have started to tilt sideways which caused the hinge to wear unevenly. It is not completely broken but I want to look for a replacement in time.
I do not know the door manufacturer but chances are they have changed name or moved on.
I want to put a longer - 4 holes at least - base plate under the hinge made of 5 - 10 mm steel. But where can I get a hinge mechanism, i.e. support arm to take counter springs, hinge and adapter plates?
