Garage Door (Marantec) needs position resetting?

Anyone know anything about these electric openers? Seems like the door is in the wrong position. When I try to close it (electronically) it closes but tries to keep going so cuts out and reverses slightly. When I try to open it, it only goes 2/3 up. Not sure what caused it.

I have reprogrammed the stop points and increased the power, thanks to a call to the helpline, but it seems the "emergency release mechanism" is jammed. I.e. when I pull the cord from inside the garage it does not release the mechanism and I cannot unlock the garage from the outside with the key, in the event of a power cut, like i should be able. If anyone knows how to fix this and avoid calling out the installers would be appreciated.
