Hi all
below is my detached garage, which is a "standard single size" (if it's vital to get the exact measurements, please let me know!)
(I know the garden wall is in poor state - that's another project!)
The road on the left is owned by Network Rail, as is the land behind and to the immediate right of it. The land in front and offish to the rightish is my garden. (yeah, I know, funny place to put a garage - it was there when we moved in!).
Anyways, I've since had power ran out to it and so it's now my workshop but a budding project makes me wish it was double sized so that I can get the project car in there and still have space for fabrication. Clearly, I can't extend to the right as Network Rail would be miffed.
So I propose to do this (click to enlargify);
Basically, remove the door and abut another single sized garage onto its front, with the garage opening onto the road.
First question; is this permitted development in Scotland or would I need planning permission?
Second question is more open; anyone think this is a dumb idea?
Cheers
Scott
