Garage flat roof.

Hi guys.

I've felted my garage roof and painted it with Aluminium Solar protector and I'm wondering if I should paint the inside joists and boards to stop it getting dampish.
What do you reckon and is there something that should be used in this instance?

If you have done your roof properly, why paint it inside to stop damp coming through.
