Just moved into a property
The workshop Floor is damp, the level is a brick below the damp proof course on the walls and the surface is sound but of rough concrete
The surrounding soil level is approx brick below DPC so I will skim this off a bit lower
I want to put visqueen down then build the floor up to (or over) the level of the DPC
The question is what do a do about the surface of the concrete as it too rough to put visqueen down straight on it
Also am I better using concrete or a screed to bring the level up
Any comments welcome
