Finally getting round to this, as we do, quite rarely these days, keep a car in there.

I know it's 30 minutes. I have frame (with sticker), 44mm fire door, 3 fire rated hinges, intumescent strips and fired rated mortice sashlock.

Do I need additional protection (pads) for the lock and hinges?

Do I still need a closer, and if so can it be one of those spring things that fit in the door?

And finally, there's an old window between house and garage (uPVC double glazed) - it's been boarded internally (12.5mm pb and skim), will this meet regs?

Thanks.

, intumescent strips
Make sure they are smoke and fire. Just fire alone won't satisfy reg's, when protecting a dwelling from a garage. Make sure the door frame has an adequate fitting gap to allow these to be fitted too.
