Hi everyone I want to paint my garage rafters and roof as don't want to board it, want it dark grey or black, was going to use a matt emulsion just b&q own brand or something similar but was wondering if I could use fence paint like ronseal or such only for aesthetics as would be a lot cheaper and look better than the current wood, above rafters in a flat room with chipboard on bottom ? If use emulsion I will water down first coat 10 percent or so as a mist coat.

doing that walls white what paint would you recommend for the walls ?

Thanks dean

An unusual thing to want to do, most are just left their natural colour. Garages tend to be low ceiling and dark, if I were to paint mine, then I would use a white paint, to reflect as much light back down, as possible. White emulsion should do it, a couple of coats.

I seen a few online in grey etc and looked great but I could do white , I know what you mean would be better for light being white could do all same colour then aswel.

When I do the house I will do all in dulux but may use a cheaper paint for garage walls as doesn't need to be perfect any recomendations?

Thanks dean
