This is the roof on our garage that leaks like a sieve.

When the weather warms I'm going to remove the roof the joists and the parapet wall and replace the cracked lintel.

Thereof, I'm undecided...

I'm going to reduce the pitch as its quite steep for its span. What I would like to do is raise the height so the Epdm I'm going to have installed runs under the roof tiles.

What concerns me in it's current configuration is the roof is under the fascia and sofit of the bungalow and I doubt there is any lead protecting the wall or roof.

Removing the roof, old joists and parapet sounds sensible.
I don't think you particularly need to alter the height or pitch. Just seems like more work than necessary, why mess about with the existing roofline?
What happens under the fascia isn't worth worrying about unless it's actually leaking.
Pitch is fine, just make sure you use a sensible amount of joists when you redo it.
