I’ve seen a lot of very short threads on this forum with people asking about boarding out their garages for storage. The advice is typically not to board the trusses but instead to run new joists to support the boarding above.
I’ve seen barely anything from people who have actually done it though.
I have a 7m x 6m double garage. Does anybody have any success stories of properly boarding out the loft space aside from just throwing some boards up there? If so what reinforcement work did you do?
