I've recently moved into a new place and looking to put some vinyl sheet flooring in the detached 3.5m sq garage, to use as a fitness/activity room.
The floor at the moment appears to be a course of DPM (something like BlackJack), on
lightly corrugated concrete and covered in what I assume to be plaster dust, as the walls have been battened plaster-boarded and taped and jointed. It's possible the previous owner had begun to convert the garage and stopped, or had some tiling system over it which was removed.
How should I go about installing the vinyl sheet flooring? My concern is the DPM and dust (which is impossible to remove, as it's embedded into the DPM) not affixing to any self leveling compound. Is there some kind of primer that's needed?
Many thanks.
