I have a Garden Line Garden Vac/Blower, Bought from B&Q a few years ago. The machine is excellent but the collecting bag, which is also a filter is absolute garbage and unfit for purpose. I have bought several replacements at a ridiculous price as they do not last very long due to the material the collecting bad is made from. It is a little better than a paper bag which is not fit for purpose, every new bag I have bought at around £20 just splits as it is so flimsy. I attempted with great difficulty, lining the bag with a more durable material such as the lining used to prevent weed growth used under a patio. It was exactly the right material but was extremely difficult to do due to the physical design of the Manufacturers bag. Initially it worked but some how the material being collected such as leaves and pine needles somehow got between the new lining and the original bag. my design was not as good as I had hoped but it was very difficult using a sowing machine on thee collecting bag as designed.
So my question is, has anyone any ideas as to the supply of a replacement collecting bag from another supplier that is fit or purpose.

Maybe try heavy duty plastic or rubble bags doubled up if necessary tied up with zip ties

Surely the bag has to be porous or a mesh so air can pass through it leaving the trash behind.

I used landscape fabric for something else, it seems very sturdy.

You might be able to glue the seam

Edit
Sorry, too slow

Thanks JohnD, That seems an excellent suggestion, never thought of that one. Have you any idea of what Glue would be most suitable.
I didn't understand the 'Edit - Sorry Too Slow.' ??

I haven't done it. The fabric looks like it might be polypropylene. There may be a plumbers solvent cement

Sometimes you can weld plastics with a flat-topped soldering iron. I mended my cracked wheelybin like that. I used plasplugs as welding rod.

Perhaps something like the orange mesh bags you get logs/bulk vegetables in..

The problem is the Attaching of the bags to the Garden Vac. without it Blowing off. It has a custom designed clipping arrangement which is an excellent arrangement, if only the bags where fit for purpose. Thanks for your thoughts.
I have informed Garden Line of the Bag Quality issue but they just ignored my request of reviewing their Bag material, presumably they are happy charging customers £20 for a useless paper bag which is NOT fit for Purpose.
JohnD's suggestion of using adhesive to stick a landscape fabric liner into the flimsy paper bag GardenLine supply is I think the way to go.
