Garden Shredder tripping power

I have an electric garden shredder. Last time used was fine, but now it trips the power as soon as it's plugged in and I try to turn it on - obviously a problem...

I've checked the lead etc for obvious shorts but nothing is apparent. As I have no electrical expertise, when I open it up I don't know what to test or look for...

Can anyone suggest a starting point, please?
