Garden Wall

Hi All,
I want to have a wall built around the edge of my garden to create raised beds. I only want a single skin of about 5 bricks high. The ground is pattern imprinted concrete and I would like to lay the bricks directly on top of this rather than having to dig out,
Does this sound O.K ?
