Gas BBQ - what is patio gas?

So I have just brought my first gas BBQ and while I had 5 mins free I started reading up on what gas I should use.

I know the difference between butane and propane and by choice will probably use butane.

I think patio gas is a Calor product but there appears to be no actual explanation as to what it is or why it is better than both butane or propane.

Anyone know? is it a mix?

It's just ordinary propane but in a special more expensive canister so the man in the shop knows you're middle class with a patio.

Thats exactly what I thought - just a marketing ploy.
Only downside is I think the regulator that came with the BBQ is 27mm which seems to be the size for patio gas, so may have to buy a new regulator.
