My daughter has a 2 bedroom top floor maisonette. It is small but has an enormous loft space. The best place for the boiler would be in the loft space above the kitchen and bathroom where it has easy vertical access for venting, the dhw pipe runs are short and there is a brick wall to fix it to.
To avoid frequent trips up to the loft I am looking for a condensing combi boiler with a remote programmer but most that I have looked at seem to be with the boiler.
Could an expert give some pros and cons of installing the boiler in the loft and suggest some manufactures/models which might be suitable please?

under new building regs, before you can even consider installing a boiler in loft space ! the loft has to have been boarded, have fixed adeqate lighting, fixed loft ladder and most laughable off them all a gaurd rail round the hatch in the loft!!

all the boilers can be fitted with external clock even if internal one fitted, best option is a programable room stat

Also fit a pressure gauge on a habitable floor (if a pressurised central heating circuit is incorparated).
