Gas cooker problems

Can anyone give me some advice my gas cooker is New World grill oven combo. The mesh dispersion plate around the grill is warping and smoking badly the smoke is sharp and it burns my eyes and throat, it's a blue, gray colour. I opened the house up and let it burn, thinking it could just be oil and fat, but that hasn't made a difference. I've posted in the appliance thread and was advised to ask here as some of you guys are gas fitters.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

stop using it and get an rgi in to look at it
