Quick question - I am laying down a new kitchen floor and then installing a new kitchen with gas hob.
Don't worry - I intend to get a registered professional to do all the gas work. At this stage I need someone run a new gas supply pipe from the mains supply to the new hob so that I can then lay the floorboards down over that and finally install the kitchen.
Unfortunately I can't get a gas fitter until after Christmas and I want to get cracking putting in the kitchen. Question is this - would I be okay running a length of half-inch copper under where the floorboards and cabinets are going to be and up behind where the hob is going to be?
I'm thinking the gas fitter would then be able to come in when hes free and connect one end to the mains and the other to the hob. In the meantime I'd have the kitchen finished...
Would the gas fitter be able to work with this, or do I really need to wait a month+ before a pro has a look?
