gas hob

I'm wanting some advice on fitting a gas hob in my kitchen. Do they come with clips to hold it down to the work top like kitchen sinks do. Thanks for any advice.

Yes they do, their own versions anyway.

if you dont know that they come with clips can i presume you have not done any before, then if my presumption is correct can i then presume you have no idea how to do the job properly, if so please get someone in who is GSR and does know what they (should) be doing

Totally agree. However, there is nothing to stop you cutting out the worktop as per manufacturer's instructions, and clipping it down (remembering to use the putty strips that come with the hob).

Then, use a gasfitter to connect it up properly - it's dangerous not to if you don't know what you're doing.
