I have a Halstead Finest Gold combi(dont laugh) and virtually every year have to remove the gas inlet pipe and remove a build up of green flake/scale from the inlet filter. This obviously blocks the amount of gas supplied to the boiler, reducing performance. I was advised to change the copper feed pipe from the meter which i did and also had Transco to flush the pipe to the house(nothing found) but the problem still remains. Any help would be welcomed.
The boiler is 2 feet away from the meter and in an understairs cupboard.
I am sure its the copper pipe corroding internally but why?
