Gas meter box size

I need to start building before the box arrives as the local yard are out of stock. If anyone knows the size of one that fits in the cavity? Also if there's a good place to get them online. That would be a help. I assume you can retro fit them also? Cheers

I think he means that basically if a surface mounted box is installed a recessed one can’t be fitted, but judging by the OP’s initial post I wouldn’t have thought it an issue.

Yes it a new wall. I think there is a size to leave a hole to fit the box in on that bes website.
