Morning all,

Please could someone answer my quick question?

Do I need to run the thick 10amp cooker wire when installing a gas oven, or will the regualar 2.5amp wire suffice?

Is this the case?

I'm only using the electics to power the clock/timer aren't I?

You can plug this into your 13amp ring main. Were there any instructions?

You may find there is a current rating plate attached to the oven which will tell you how much power it needs. It is likely to be quite small and a plug may be the easiest way to do it.

Do not wire it directly into an outlet provided for an electric cooker. This will likely be intended to supply 30/40 A and would need to have a FCU (or even socket) fitted so there would be a fuse included to protect the oven.
