Gas oven

I have been painting lately, and when I light the oven/hob there is this funny smell which is kind of chemically.

It has only been doing it since I started painting, which I finished yesterday.

I have not used anything on the oven for it to smell like that.

Anyone know what it is?

its the smell of the paint after it gets burned
thats the smell not the paint

Even though I was painting in the lounge, not the kitchen?
