Afternoon,

I’m just in the process of building a bay window however the external gas box is in the way so needs moving to The front of the new bay window which is all good and well, the energy supply is going to move their metre to the new location but just the metre!

I need to run the gas pipe 22mm pipe from the house to the new location around 1.5metres however the only real way to do this is to run it ontop of a cavity wall which we were going to stud and board.

Been a long time since I had to use regs eg corgi days lol can anyone tell me
The current regs of running pipe
Work behind stud walling ? In the old days it was covered in plaster to protect it but bet things have change

If anyone can tell me how I need to do this it would be much appreciated
Thanks
Jake

Thanks exedon I get what your saying and a gas safe engineer who is registered will be soldering it to the system however what my question is isn’t about connection it’s about regulations of a gas pipe in a stud wall… there’s no joints in said pipe just a pipe I just want to get the wall studded out and insulated.
Thanks
Jake
