Hi Guys,
I constantly get asked this question and wondered what the energy efficiency experts have in the way of advice.
Standard vented system, indirect hot water cylinder.
Most people have an immersion installed as a back up if the boiler goes bang, but always use the indirect coil to heat the water.
The question is, through the summer/spring months when the heating is not really being used is it cheaper/better to use the immersion as the way to heat your water or is it better to just have the boiler heating it as normal.
The increases in gas prices lately seems to prompting this question more.
Look forward to your thoughts on this
