I've bought a new house and I'm thinking of getting a gate put in place. House is on a fairly busy road and as its detached, it means its got access to the back from both ends which makes it easier for "unwanted guests" to come in. I'm sort of leaning more towards a wooden gate. But would like to know what you guys think I should go for metal or wood? The front entrance is quite big and the way bricks pillar are currently in place, I'll need a double gate and two single gates.
For me the purpose of the gate is privacy, security and to reduce the traffic noise somewhat.
