Hi all,
I am putting in a new gate which is between 2 brick built posts. Neither of the posts have been built vertical so there is a bigger gap at the bottom than the top if the gate is vertical. The gate will be supported by 2 wooden post fixed to the either brick post. Question is.... should I fix the wooden battens direct to the wall which will mean the gate will need to be wider at the bottom (gate is T&G panels) or should I pack out the battens so they are vertical and have the gate of uniform width.
If packing out the battens, should I just pack out the bottom or make a 'wedge' the length of the batten?
Thanks in advance.
