If the best goalie in the world takes on Georgie B, he could well lose.

But then the ref gave the sometime 'Banks of England' the benefit of the doubt - Gordon slumped in my book, he f'ked up and could not take it... For me a sad end to a great keeper... He always tossed the ball forward when punting out - Georgie didn't need an invite... Bish, bash, bosh !!

As the ball was no longer in the keepers possession when Best kicked it,

Can't disagree with that - if he'd kicked it out of his hands - no goal, but he'd thrown the ball up, Georgie just got his foot to the ball first. Nothing wrong with that.
