As Jason said, go for a Porcelain tile and use 10mm Radius U-notched trowel. BAL stuff is good tackle but very expensive so I only use their stuff when tiling onto wood. For tiling onto concrete you don't need anything special. I always recommend Feb fastset floor and wall tile adhesive and PCI fast track grey grout . Both can be used outside and are pretty cheap:

the trowel needs to be a solid bed one , meaning the mud/adhesive Is NOT rippled/bevelled at all as you imaging normal tiling is , ok ...
if you get air pockets outside the frost gets in an *blows* the tiles ....
